Webtoons

  1. Tower of God

Tower of God is perhaps the holy grail of webtoons— having created a fantasy world with a unique and complex lore containing all the elements of brilliant storytelling – following a dynamic cast of characters. The story launches with our protagonist Baam entering a behemoth tower in search of his only friend Rachel, a girl who dreams of gazing at the stars. The resulting tale is an explosion of intriguing world building, strategic battles of both wit and magical abilities, with alliances and betrayals occurring
on all sides.

  1. A Good Day to be a Dog

Don’t let the odd name fool you. If you’re searching for a heartwarming, easygoing romance story with lots of fluff (pun intended), then this webtoon is the way to go. Without spoiling the plot, the story demonstrates the relationship between two teachers, funny hijinks, and cute puppies. There are numerous sweet moments and laugh-out-loud scenarios to look forward to, and reading that satisfying happily-ever-after is the best way to immerse yourself within a wholesome story.

  1. Wind Breaker

When it comes to sports webtoons, it does not get any better than Wind Breaker. For Haikyuu fans who are saddened after the completion of its manga, this can be a new fix for them. This webtoon has it all: sportsmanship, prodigies, competitions, rivalries and
cycling terms and techniques that you never even knew existed. Through this webtoon, us fellow couch-potatoes can experience the thrill and
exhilaration of outdoor sports with ease.

  1. Bastard

For all the horror/thriller junkies out there, very few webtoons come close to achieving what Bastard does. It is nothing short of a heart-racing, teeth-clenching and anxiety-inducing webtoon, with characters constantly trying to outsmart each other in order to survive. Before starting this, ask yourself three questions, what would you do if a serial killer was after you and your loved ones? What if you lived with them? What would you do if they were your own family?

  1. Dr. Frost

Dr. Frost is an aloof genius, and an expert psychologist who knows all about what makes human beings tick. He uses various methods of deductions (very reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes) to solve the problems of his various patients and clients alike. Despite the premise, the story is not overly heavy or serious, in fact reading this episodic webtoon is
quite the laid-back and informative experience as we see Frost settle his cases using psychological tests and the occasional detective-like sleuthing.
