Claycraft: The Art of Creative Claymaking

Marjan Habib found inspiration and solace in clay crafting during a semester break in May 2023. She took an unexpected plunge into the world of clay crafting and it evolved into a successful endeavour that won both admiration and hearts. Prior to becoming an accomplished clay artist, she painted as a hobby on canvases. Marjan discovered her passion in the art of clay crafting as a means of therapeutic relief while navigating through a challenging time in her life. 

Initially, Marjan had no intention of transforming this hobby into a business. Nevertheless, encouraged by the unwavering support of her family and friends, she made the decision to venture into entrepreneurship. Interestingly, she received her first commission even before launching an Instagram account for her fledgling business. Her designs are inspired by a wide range of sources, including pop culture references, Studio Ghibli and animated films and artworks she stumbles upon on Pinterest. Her creations consist of clay dishes, miniature figures, and a variety of accessories like bracelets, rings, earrings, pendants, and key ring charms. Each of the crafted pieces tell a story, combining elements of her inspiration and emotions.  

Motivated by the tremendous response to her artistic ability, Marjan hopes to grow her clay business and establish it as a recognizable brand. Using determination as her guidance, she envisions a day when her talent and perseverance will pay off in the form of a prosperous business.
