CSE Department Hosts Inaugural Coding Competition

For the first time, the CSE Department of Brac University organized a coding competition among students of a non-computer science background. The event concluded with a ceremony where the top three groups were awarded prizes and certificates.

The competition had an overwhelming number of 327 students enlisted under the course “Introduction to Computer Science (CSE101/CSE103),” which showed keen participation and brilliant coding skills. The event was conducted successfully with the help of CSE101/CSE103 faculty members. In this respect, the certificates were distributed to the winning students in the ceremony by Dr. Sadia Hamid Kazi, Chairperson of CSE.

The winning groups were:
1st Place: MD. Rafayet Islam, Abdullah Ansari, Adiya
2nd Place: Miskatul Jahan Oishe, Zayed Hassan, Suraiya Hossain
3rd Place: Sajia Afsara, Anwesha Dutta

The event was graced by Dr. Ashraful Alam, Dr. Aniqua Nusrat Zereen, the course coordinator, and other prominent faculty members. This effort did not only bring out the diversified talent within the university but also motivated interdisciplinary learning and collaboration.
