BRAC University Celebrates with Vibrant Noboborsho and Eid Festivities

On the 28th and 29th of April, the BRAC University Cultural Club (BUCuC) organised a two-day program, Bangla Noboborsho and Eid Punormiloni, bringing vibrancy and joy to the otherwise stressful environment at the university. The ground floor passageway was adorned with colourful, well-organized stalls, showcasing talent, creativity, and determination. Variations of items ranged from handmade arts and crafts to apparel to pieces of jewellery, even refreshments were offered for students to purchase, which is exactly what we needed in this heatwave. Samiha Manzur, a student of the BBA department gushed about how well-managed and easy to roam around the fair was.

Later, BUCuC hosted a wonderful event in the Multipurpose Hall where the students showcased lively performances. Among the performers were, Sanjeeta Dutta and her team who performed a mesmerising performance on “Esho Hey Boishakh”. The spirit was carried on by other group performances to “Dhakai Sharee” and “Panjabi Wala”. Among the colours of Boishakh being spread, the cultural side was addressed through a classical dance rendition of “Ailo Ailo re” by their group members. Finally, the dance segment bid goodbye with a special appearance by the beloved faculty member of CSE, Farhan Feroz Aushi, who added joy to the event with his loving performance of Murir tin alongside his students.
