The walls of the gallery were adorned with compelling photographs and artworks (both traditional and digital) by people from all over Bangladesh. Shadman Khan (Junior, CSE) expressed his satisfaction over the success of the event. According to him, “There were around 1800-2000 submissions from over 900 applicants for the exhibition. We prioritized Victory Day representation, but didn’t keep the theme limited to it so that participants have the liberty.”

The abstract centerpiece symbolizes creative individuality and Bengal’s history of art forms. The 4 sculptures surrounding the centerpiece, handmade by Sohany Jannat (Senior, MNS) and her teammates, reflected the heritage of rural folk music. Moreover, the theme was to capture retro Bangladesh and evoke our collective memory. About the event, the Dr. Dave Dowland (Registrar, BracU) commented, “You see paintings of little children trying to find life amidst such hardships. It was very moving, inspirational, and humorous. I wish we could keep them permanently.”
