Aurthohin turns the page with new members

Renowned Bangladeshi rock band Aurthohin caught fans off guard with the departure news of two members, Mark Don and Ehtesham Ali Moeen, on the morning of March 5th. Drummer Mark Don and young guitarist Moeen took to their individual social media accounts to announce their new beginnings. However, the dark clouds did not hover over their fans for much longer, as the band announced the return of a fan favourite and the addition of two fresh faces.

Mark Don’s departure marks the end of a decade-long journey laced with hard work and perseverance. In a heartfelt message to the fans, Don reminisced about the ten years’ worth of joy and hardship he faced with his bandmates as well as recording and performing their hits such as Cancer er Nishikabyo, Phoenixer Diary 1 and Phoenixer Diary 2. He further expressed his gratitude towards the relentless support from the fans and bid adieu with inspiring words, saying, “This is simply growth, and growth sometimes means walking forward”.

Simultaneously, guitarist Ehtesham Ali Moeen decided to part ways after a rewarding year with the band. While conveying his gratitude for Aurthohin, Moeen reassured fans of an exciting individual musical career ahead.
The transition happened smoothly with the monumental return of fan-favourite guitarist Shishir Ahmed, who previously worked with Aurthohin for nearly 15 years. Alongside him, Adnan Atique on keyboards and guitars, and guest drummer Sheikh M Riaz of Mechanix are expected to bring fresh energy to the rhythm as the band promises to move forward with new music and performances.
