Celebrating Engineering Excellence at the FYDP Exhibition
The Brac University Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department recently hosted the Final Year Design Project showcase on 24th October in the Exhibition Hall. This was an attempt to showcase the projects the students have been working on for all of their Senior year and inspire aspiring engineers while fostering an environment of learning and networking. Many esteemed guests were invited to it, including faculties, alums, and all the current students.

Ten diverse projects showcased a commitment to real-world problem-solving and a focus on impactful solutions. The projects, named sequentially from Group 01 to Group 10, included “Intelligent Traffic Management System,” “Machine Learning Powered Smart Visual-Spatial Agnosia Assistive Device,” “Cardisim: A Cost Effective ECG Simulator,” “Design and Implementation of Identical Battery Identification and Clustering System,” “Unmanned System for Fetching and Shelving in Drug Management,” “Meat Quality Grading and Contamination Identification,” “Renewable Powered EV Charging Station with V2G Integration,” “Solar Panels Inspection and Cleaning System (SPICS),” “Wearable Hand Rehabilitation System for Post-Stroke Patients”, and “A Monitoring System for Fishermen: Design and Analysis of GUI.”
Honorable faculties and guests awarded Group-08 as Best Project, Group-06 as 1st Runner-Up, and Group-09 as 2nd Runner-Up, recognizing their innovation, documentation, presentation, and technical skill.
Md. Sadman Islam Alif (Senior, EEE) described his project, which was awarded as the best one, as an autonomous system integrating UAV inspection with a cleaning rover. Inspired by labor-intensive maintenance practices in global solar farms, the team aimed to create a more sustainable and efficient solution with his teammates Syed Mosaddik Hossain Ifty(Senior, EEE), Md. Mahmudur Rahman(Senior, EEE), and Aniruddha Trishit (Senior, EEE).
Md. Abdullah (Senior, EEE) states, “Through FYDP, students will be inspired to address real-world problems even on a small scale.” Another project included a wearable hand rehabilitation system specifically designed to address the needs of stroke survivors, offering an affordable, efficient, and portable alternative to conventional therapy. Upama Adhikary (Senior, EEE), advised fellow EEE students to choose projects that align with their interests and are driven by an altruistic mindset.
The FYDP Showcase left a lasting impact on students and faculty alike, inspiring younger students to pursue their ideas passionately and purposefully. More than an academic celebration, this event created cherished memories for seniors as they near the end of their journey at BracU, ready to step forward and make their mark in the world.
