Blood in July

Blocked roads, chants on the streets

This time, dictator, she could not defeat

After years of struggle to find our voice

Dictator could not control this void

Sending men in blue and green

To smear redness all over the cities we live in

Guns being loaded, shots were fired

Yet, she could not put out the fire inside us

With bullets in our chests

Men in blue and green with their vests

Emerged a generation who wouldn’t settle for less

Abu Sayed, Faiyaaz, Mugdho and many more

We chant, we scream, wanting justice for more

Disconnected from the world, our hands were tied

Only to clean out blood from the streets to get by

By unfolding one, to finding many more corrupts

After all, this volcano was bound to erupt

I am Ariya. I love to play the guitar and sing, though I'm terrified of singing in public. I usually watch a lot of movies and TV shows in my free time. I really like psychological thriller and serial killer shows. About my academics, I'm currently doing my undergrad in BBA. And I absolutely love studying marketing!
