The art of looking without touching

In an impressively unique approach to campus development, the university has unveiled a state-of-the-art swimming pool with polished railings, clean, chlorinated water, and pristine showers. It looks like everything one might need for a refreshing dip. However, the only minor detail? For students, that refreshing dip remains highly theoretical.

The pool is very thoughtfully reserved for experiments, giving the campus machines the experience they have long dreamed of. While the purpose of this facility might have been misunderstood initially, the university has clarified that the pool is definitely a “student amenity” if the students are made of metal and code.

It truly is very comforting that the university takes student safety seriously. After all, water can be very unpredictable, and it is very reasonable to want to protect the students from the overwhelming dangers of swimming. Yeasir Ahsan (Junior, SoP) expressed, “You see a pool and naturally expect to use it, not just look at it.”

However, there has also been resounding praise for the pool, as it is seen as a notable development that significantly enhances the university’s visual appeal, even though its practical use remains somewhat limited. “The pool looks good,” Umul Khair Fatema (Junior, SoP) commented, “but I would definitely like it better if I could use it,” she added.

For now, students are encouraged to experience the pool’s elegance; however, only from a respectful distance, while their non-human counterparts can quite literally dive into the opportunity. Perhaps, in the end, this shimmering body of water is not about swimming at all; it is more about keeping expectations afloat.
