Student to Faculty: Sayeda Tashnuba Jahan
In the fourth episode of this close to our heart segment Student to Faculty we learn and get inspired from the journey of Sayeda Tashnuba Jahan (Lecturer, MNS), a BracU graduate who returned to teach in her own turf.
Tashnuba ma’am completed her undergraduate, majoring in Physics from BracU. Later she pursued her MSc in Theoretical Physics form University of Bologna. Besides teaching she is also an avid researcher interested in various fields of Theoretical Physics. She believes, “Physics as a major is not a very easy path so what we have to do if you want to be a researcher in the future is study really hard and make sure your foundational concept is built very strong.”
As she reflects on her days at BracU she mentions that “Students who are now enrolled in the physics program are doing much better than what we had before. So there is this generation of people who are getting better and better. This is what I like to see myself as a teacher so that is why I keep choosing BracU.” For more details of this curious quest make sure to check out the interview!
