UIHP success stories of BracU
BRACU’s University Innovation and Hackathon Program UIHP recently celebrated the victory of 11 teams and disbursed a total pre-seed grant of 5 lac Taka on March 7th. These teams presented their innovative ideas and business models in front of the jury during a rigorous competition round. During the activity, these entrepreneurs received strong mentorship and resources to prepare their ventures. The winners were Sponsorchai, Onneshok, SofTouch, Eco-Leven, Tin Bela, GradeMinds, Urbor, InfuseSmart, Gilbert, RaptorX, and Circinus.
UIHP promotes entrepreneurship among young adults, helping them find funding and guidance from an early stage. Mashrafi Salim (Junior, EEE), one of the founders of SofTouch, states, “With the right resources, UIHP helps turn ideas into something tangible.” He further adds that through this program, a proper understanding was received regarding what it’s like to build a business in the real world by helping with execution and strategy. For Raihanul Huq (Sophomore, ESS), he saw this event as a perfect opportunity to challenge himself and push his limits, paving the way to be one of the founders of Gilbert. And of course, teamwork is something you get to experience and learn along the way. As Raihanul put it, “I was motivated to work with a team that shared the same drive as me.”

Sumiya Ahmed Jannat (Sophomore, EEE), a founder of Raptor X, believes that teamwork can also help divide up workload and avoid stress. She shares, “Mutual decisions often do provide the best solutions.” Saif Safayat (Senior, BBS), one of the founders of Sponsorchai, shares, “I encourage every student to apply — UIHP is the perfect place to start!”
