BracU’s AgriMorph Cultivates Global Success

Who knew first-year students could outsmart the world’s best minds with just data and a dream? From circuit boards to crop fields, Brac University’s newest innovators transformed a classroom idea into a globally acclaimed solution aimed at smarter agriculture. With just one year of university behind them, Team Automorph emerged in the international tech spotlight and secured silver.

The International IoT Olympiad 2025 took place in Indonesia with participation from over 75 university teams worldwide. BracU’s powerhouse trio, Md. Ezhar Hossain (Junior, EEE), Mirajam Munir (Junior, EEE), and Fardin Ahmed (Junior, EEE), won the silver medal in the “IoT in Agriculture – University Level” category with their innovative project, AgriMorph.

AgriMorph distinguished itself as a smart, cost-effective IoT solution developed to assist small-scale farmers in rural areas. It addresses agricultural issues through data-driven farming, aligning with the UN’s SDGs.

Team leader Md. Ezhar Hossain remarked that it all began with a simple conversation over tea during the semester break. He shared, “We wanted to create something practical, not to just showcase at an event, to be forgotten later.” The system’s solar-powered, portable design is aimed at helping small-scale farmers with smart irrigation and monitoring. Even as juniors in EEE, the team left a mark on international platforms. He added, “It’s more about the experience than winning. Just start, and don’t be afraid to fail — or to burn a few boards.”

From tea stall dreams to international acclaim, AgriMorph was awarded silver and recognised as a testament to youth-led innovation reshaping agriculture and elevating BracU onto the global stage of sustainable technology.
