Vitalizers 3.0: Business meets innovation at Brac University
On December 22nd, Brac University Business and Economics Forum (BUBEF) organized the third annual national business competition, Vitalizers. The day-long event took place in the university auditorium. Started as an intra-university competition, this year’s edition welcomed participation from other universities.
A panel of industry specialists was invited as judges, notably, Shoheb Hasan (Chief Business Officer, NextJobz Limited), Wahed Azizur Rahman (Chief Operating Officer, X Index Companies), Syed Nuruzzaman (Head of Business Development, Syngenta), Syed Hasnain Mamun (Chief HR Officer, UCB), and Moshiur Rahman (Business Head, Fair Electronics).



“Most of the value of the competition is in the preparation,” David Dowland (Registrar, BracU) says as he reflects on the significance of the competition. He adds, “Finding solutions to business problems that people can actually pay for is important”. Shamim Ehsanul Haque, (Assistant Professor, BBS) says, “These competitions are the things that popularize case methods, while Brac University plays a pioneering role.”
A team from BracU University, “Fourmula”, emerged as the winner after an intense final round, while “House of Aces” and “Daal Bhaat” secured first and second runners-up, respectively.
Highlighting teamwork as a decisive factor, Shayonton Hasan (Senior, CSE) of “Fourmula” says that time management was the most challenging part and noted that their coordination and stage presence set them apart. Other members, Taseen Nujaira (Senior, CSE) and Abir Hassan (Senior, CSE), echoed the same feelings and further added that putting their trust in the process and in each other helped them excel along with strong determination helped them excel. Abdullah Mamun (Senior, BBA) believed they deserved to be on the podium as they were bringing something fresh.



Event organizer Mayesha Anjum (Senior, ESS) shared the behind-the-scenes of the event. She stated, “We worked day and night booking for sponsors and partners. Structuring such a large-scale event was challenging, but our entire executive panel worked relentlessly to make it happen.
Vitalizers stands as a testimony to Brac University’s commitment to experiential education and industry-relevant learning.
