It All Ends Here : Final Chapter of Harry Potter Fest
The final chapter of the magical fest unfolded with a theatre packed with eager students and Potterheads enjoying three movies from the series back to back, hosted by BRAC University Film Club. Starting from the Prisoner of Azkaban to the Goblet of Fire and lastly, the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the electric atmosphere of the theatre made every second feel alive with bursts of varying yet nostalgic emotions. It was an opportunity for all the students to reminisce their childhood memories on the big screen at their very own university!
But Manjila Khatun (Senior, Pharmacy) summarized the blissful experience with utmost accuracy, when she recounted that the experience of watching these movies amongst like-minded peers in beautiful cosplays outshines any other way of re-living the magic of Harry Potter.
With every task of the Triwizard Tournament, the theater embraced the spirit of the Goblet of Fire again! Faiza Hussain (Sophomore, CSE) remarked, “Rewatching the films with Potterheads made me feel a sense of belonging”. But further, watching the films in ‘Bracwarts’ washed away the struggles of the Muggle World. The audience cheered for Harry, mourned for Cedric, and braced themselves for the next film to begin, The Deathly Hallows (part 2). In the theatre hall, the audience overflowed to watch the Battle of Hogwarts. They captured photos and videos to safeguard the memory of a victorious Harry and the crew against Voldemort, before Bracu wizards and witches returned to the Muggle world as Potterheads.
Now, the end is near, when Bracwarts pulls down its shutters to become BracU again. Joynab Binte Mosharraf (Sophomore,CSE ) expresses that, “My inner child has seen her dreams come true in these past three days as Potterheads displayed their House pride.” Indeed, BracU wizards will forever cherish these three days of Hogwarts bliss, as BracU becomes the first university in Bangladesh to embrace the magic created by Harry Potter.
