Student to Faculty: Md. Tawhid Anwar
BracU Express brings the latest addition to its signature series, Student to Faculty, featuring Md. Tawhid Anwar (Senior Lecturer, CSE). He completed his graduation in 2019 from BRAC University and has been teaching since. Now a popular name among CS majors, sir sat down with Express to share his story.
Tawhid sir decided to join the university as a faculty after his experience of teaching students in his undergraduate life; “Being a student tutor, I could see the happiness in my students’ eyes when I could make them understand hard concepts, and that motivated me to continue,” sir mentioned.
Along with being a faculty, sir also helped in developing buX, co-ordinating several courses and managing administrative work. Tawhid sir advises his students to focus on honing their grasp on the fundamentals, develop problem solving skills and have hands-on project experience to stand out.
In his words, “Life has its own way of surprising you,” and he left the message to be persistent, hard-working and adaptive to adverse situations to get the best out of life.
