Rising Star Day 4 : Contagious energy off the bat

Another day of badminton, carrom, and table tennis started with high anticipation.The energy was different in the air. The first Badminton match of the day between Tarek Hossain and Md. Janaser Kabir left the whole hall in deafening silence except for the sounds of their powerful shots in a nail-biter match. Tarek Hossain walked out a winner from that match and earned the title of the Group 12 runners-up. His next opponent was Animesh Pal who after subsequent matches emerged as the winner of Group 12. Simultaneously, in Group 7 after an edge of the seat series of matches, Abrar Ashfaq Areeb claimed the title of group 7 champion. Mahadi Hasan Mehdi (Group-9), Monazzi Siddiqe (Group-14), Sadiqur Rashid (Group-10) became the champion after battling through their matches. 

Rayhan Kabir and Mahrus Kobir from Group L started the carrom male segment of the day, where Mahrus won with 29 points. From group M, K M Sazid Swapnil and Zabal Z Rahman Joy faced off where Joy won with 33 points. Joy also won against Sadik Mohammed with 29 points and earned the group champion title. The whirlwind-like shots kept the eyes of the crowd glued to the carrom boards all day. 

In table-tennis, the nimble hand-eye coordination increased the viewers’ anticipation. In board 2, Aritro Shad Wasi (Group-F), Waees Karnee (Group-G), Jubair Al Baky (Group-L),  and Tyseer Zaman Afnan (Group-O) became the group champions. Some of the player’s friends were cheering to lift up the moo  d in the playground. In the early afternoon, many students started to gather after their classes to enjoy the high-voltage competition. 

The fourth day of “Rising Star 24” ended with so much thrill and agony at the same time. Many of the players went through to the next round while others went out with disappointment in their hearts. The players showed continual implementation of athleticism and demonstrated the enhancement of socializing and mental stimulation parallel to an individual’s academic learnings. The amazing friendships between everyone involved makes this tournament unlike any other and anticipation for day 5 almost unbearable.
