Pharmacy Alumni Meet brings back nostalgia in the new campus

The multipurpose hall of Brac University new campus witnessed exchange of cheerful faces in the breezy afternoon of 16th May as School of Pharmacy(SoP) arranged an Alumni Meet event.. The event began at around 5 pm and was participated by 250 proud alumni across 20 batches of the School of Pharmacy. The gathering was graced by the respected Registrar of Brac University, Dr David Dowland, Dean Professor Dr Eva Rahman Kabir and assistant dean Hasina Yasmin of SoP along with other faculty members and some notable industry professionals.

The Event began with the alumni’s arrival as the hosts warmly welcomed them, while they exchanged greetings with former students. To make this event more memorable a beautiful gesture of tree plantation symbolized not only a legacy to be carried on by future students but also environmental sustainability that everyone earnestly partook in. After that, alumni were taken on a tour around the new campus as they observed the changes for the better. A program was held at the multipurpose hall, hosted by Namara Mariam Chowdhury, Senior Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Syeda Maliha Ahmed, Lecturer, and an alumnus. Dean of SoP inaugurated the event with an inspiring speech, celebrating the alumni’s accomplishments and the institution’s progress. A lucky draw added excitement, with eight winners receiving prizes. Wasif, a graduate of the first batch of the department, highlighted the importance of collective effort for growth. The event concluded with a dinner, fostering networking and camaraderie among alumni, faculty, and students.
